Since 2008

On a trip through China in spring 2008 I took photographs, I combine with each other in the newer works. There are diagonals that remember strikes. A country on a box junction! These multilayered images are printed on Canvas and added by the cut of a television screen image on which nothing is recognized but diffuse splashes. The television for me is first of all a big media for desinformation - especially in the hands of a totalitary regime.

On the one hand the works show a reality seen through my eyes (the photographs) and let recognize the different possibilities of interpretation by looking at the images built of different layers. On the other hand they show a detail of a television image made unrecognizable by a special manipulation with the lense of the camera. TV-images are always influenced by acustics and cut. every image at the TV is manipulated in this sense.

The communicating-process is only finished when the spectator looking at the television-images, too, values, interpretes and adds my image and sign language to his own images and signs.
