Flower landscapes

Flowers are a part of nature. The aesthetics of their blossoms in a field or in a bouquet makes us happy. I tried to build abstract panorama-images out of elements of flower pictures. I followed the seasons of the year and found a special flower-panorama in the typical colours of each month.

For many years I take photographs from flowers and blossoms. I use these pictures as a base for new worlds of images between appearance and reality. The pictures are processed in different ways at the computer, made unfamiliar and this print is added in the end by a lithography (by using Smart-Plates). I combine photography and graphics by translating a photograph into a drawing and adding another drawing to this print.
